Rent a lovely holiday villa with private pool near Braga in the Minho region, northern Portugal.    

This well maintained house is situated in a small village in the unspoilt north of Portugal, and just a short distance from the first capital of Portuguese Catholicism and ancient Celtic city of Braga. The house is very private and surrounded by trees. It is tastefully decorated and has a carefully chosen furnishings furniture most of which are traditional Portuguese origin. The functional kitchen has a traditional charcoal kiln and an admirable collection of antique pots and pans. The surrounding wooded hillside is covered with oaks, chestnuts and pine. The city of Braga is about 15 minutes. The charming town of Barcelos, with its 15th century fortifications, is located approximately 20 kilometers away. It has one of the best and most vibrant craft markets in the country (every Thursday). The Portuguese National Park - the Peneda Geres - with its spectacular scenery and a wide variety of flora and fauna - is only 40 minutes away.

Villa: two bedrooms with double beds, one with en-suite bathroom with shower. Comfortable living and dining room with a sofa, two chairs, television, dining table for 6 people and a closed fireplace. Opening doors to a covered balcony overlooking the pool. Fully equipped kitchen with a wooden table for 8 people. Doors leading to a terrace with a barbecue ideal for alfresco dining. Two additional bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom.
Outside: outbuilding with an extra freezer and washing machine. Steps leading to the private 5000 m2 garden with pines. Spacious well maintained garden surrounding the pool. Several terraces for alfresco dining. The pool is less than 16 meters long and 6 meters at its widest point. The depth of the pool is 90 centimeters to 2.80 meters. About 800 meters from the house is a river beach.
